Dr Mark Forbes brings a rare and inspiring blend of traditional medicine and holistic care to his patients. With over 25 years of experience as a GP, he is known for his calm demeanour, clear communication, and compassionate, thoughtful approach to healthcare.

Dr Forbes completed his medical degree (MBBS) at the University of Queensland and holds Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He has also completed advanced training in medical acupuncture and is endorsed by AHPRA to incorporate this modality into patient care where appropriate. 

He has been a trusted GP at Merewether Family Practice since 2008, and is highly skilled in managing all aspects of general practice, including men’s health, chronic disease management, preventive care, and minor procedures such as skin cancer removals.
