Parking & Accessbility
Our practice has a handful of onsite parks for patients, as well as on street parking. The practice is wheelchair accessible, with a ramp at the front entrance and mobility parking opposite the post office on Llewellyn St. The nearest bus station is 30 metres away, located next door at the Fire & Rescue.
Pathology & Pharmacy
Merewether Family Practice offers onsite pathology 7.30am - 4.00pm via Laverty. Merewether Pharmacy is located next door for all prescription and pharmaceutical requirements and IGA is opposite the practice for any basic requirements.

Who do I call in an emergency?
In case of an emergency, call 000. The nearest hospital is the John Hunter Hospital, located on Lookout Road in New Lambton. For non life threatening emergencies, you can also attend Heal Urgent Care.
What do I do if I have a non-urgent issue after hours?
Our after hours care is provided by GP Access after hours service. Please call 1300 130 147.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, we are not a walk in clinic. You can book online via hotdoc 24/7 or speak to one of our friendly receptionists on 02 4963 3921. A booking is required for all medical issues, including prescription renewals and phone calls.
Are you a bulk-billing practice?
We are a private billing practice so we do not offer bulk billing. A discounted fee is available for pensioners over the age of 75. Payment at the time of consultation is required. A list of fees is available here.
